Vushtrri
Kosovo
This town in northern Kosovo where the Sitnica river runs through the centre alongside two smaller waterways, Vushtrri has a walkable core with cafés and restaurants and a cluster of historic monuments — a stone bridge, a castle, a public bath, and a fountain — that date back several centuries. The town was once among the largest in the Balkans and retains cobbled streets, old houses, and multi-century mosques alongside its post-war reconstruction.
