Wahgunyah
Australia
This pocket-sized wine-country village on the southern bank of the Murray River in northeastern Victoria, Wahgunyah sits opposite Corowa, New South Wales, with vineyards nearby and a handful of cafés and restaurants that punch above the village's modest size. Several historic churches add to the streetscape. The name is believed to derive from an Aboriginal phrase meaning "the resting place of crows."
