Photogenic pocket-sized city in Idaho's Silver Valley mining district, Wallace sits alongside the South Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River and carries a notable history: it was the birthplace of Hollywood actress Lana Turner and the filming location for the 1997 disaster film Dante's Peak.
