Wevelgem

West Flanders town on the River Leie, Wevelgem has a walkable centre with a good spread of cafés and restaurants. It is best known internationally as the finish line of the Gent–Wevelgem classic cycling race, one of the major annual events on the Belgian road-racing calendar. The town also has its own international airport and sits within a wider region ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
