Wuyishan

Wuyishan, in the northwest of Fujian province, is home to a UNESCO dual World Cultural and Natural Heritage site — one of the few places in China to hold both designations — set among scenic mountain landscapes and waterways. The area has deep historical roots, with cliff tombs and the ruins of an ancient Minyue kingdom, and Song-dynasty scholar Zhu Xi taught here. The region is also a source of Wuyi rock tea, ranked among China's ten finest teas since 1959.
