Agdz
Morocco
This modest Moroccan town along the banks of the Draa River, Agdz sits at the foot of Djebel Kissane in the Atlas Mountains, with scenic surrounds and a modest central core of cafés and restaurants. Its name is said to mean "place of rest" on the ancient caravan route linking Marrakech to Timbuktu, and a weekly Thursday market continues to draw the surrounding area. The town lies between Ouarzazate to the north and Zagora to the south.
