Skoura

A palm oasis southeast of Ouarzazate, Skoura pairs a modern town centre — with cafés and restaurants — with a historic palmeraie of traditional rammed-earth architecture. Three wadis run through and around the oasis, and the surrounding landscape sits within reach of the mountains. The combination of living oasis, ancient kasbahs, and a walkable modern core gives the town a dual character unusual for a settlement of its size in Morocco's Drâa-Tafilalet region.
