Bataszek

A small town in Tolna County, Hungary, Bátaszék sits on the water and lies within reach of mountains and a UNESCO World Heritage site in the wider region. The town is home to a tree that won the European Tree of the Year title in 2016, and was the birthplace of the Roman Catholic writer Miklós Bátori. Its population includes a significant German-speaking minority alongside the Hungarian majority.
