Darpas
Armenia
This small Armenian village sits on the right bank of the Pambak River in the Lori region, at high elevation on the western slopes of Mount Maimekh, a short distance from the city of Vanadzor. Ancient inscriptions on tuff gravestones in the village cemetery attest to a long history of settlement. Residents work in livestock farming, beekeeping, horticulture, and vegetable growing, giving the village a working agricultural character.
