Glace Bay
Cape Breton · Canada
A coastal community on the eastern shore of Cape Breton Island, Glace Bay was once driven by coal mining and fishing before both industries declined in the 1990s. Formerly Nova Scotia's largest town by population before amalgamation into the Cape Breton Regional Municipality in 1995, it sits east of Sydney with several historic churches in its centre and direct access to the Atlantic shoreline.
