This modest kibbutz in the Galilee Panhandle sits alongside springs and streams, including Koren Stream, a tributary of the Dan River, giving it a waterside character unusual for a village of its size. Founded in September 1948 by immigrants from Turkey, HaGoshrim takes its name — meaning "the bridge-builders" — from the founders' sense of themselves as a bridge between Israel and the diaspora. The surrounding region holds several UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the mountains are close.
