Spa town in western Bulgaria whose mineral waters rank among the most radioactive in Europe, Momin Prohod sits in the Kostenets–Dolna Banya Valley within the Sredna Gora mountain range, roughly a short drive from Sofia. The town functions primarily as a therapeutic and rehabilitation centre, and the waters here are second in radioactivity only to Narechenski Bani within Bulgaria.
