Nahiyat Saddat al Hindiyah
Iraq
Town on the Euphrates River in central Iraq's Babylon Governorate, Saddat al Hindiyah takes its name from the Indian labourers brought to the area by the British after World War I to work its agricultural lands. Both the old and modern Hindiya Barrages sit nearby. The wider region includes UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the Euphrates gives the town direct access to the river.
