Namaacha
Mozambique
A modest town in the Lebombo Mountains of southern Mozambique, Namaacha sits on the border with Eswatini and is known for a waterfall, a colonial church, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima — inaugurated in 1944 and the site of an annual pilgrimage each 13 May. The town's name derives from Lomahacha, a former ruler of the region. Hotels, restaurants, and a casino serve visitors passing through this border crossing west of Maputo.
