Ressano Garcia

Mozambique

Ressano Garcia is a Mozambican border town on the South African frontier, where both road and rail crossings connect the two countries — the rail link running along one of the country's most significant railway lines, named after the Portuguese engineer and politician Frederico Ressano Garcia, who gave the town its name. The main highway east to Maputo passes through here, making it a practical transit point between the two nations.
