Orosh
Albania
A mountain village in Albania's Fan Valley, Orosh holds a specific place in the country's history: on 26 April 1911, Terenzio Tocci gathered the Mirdita chieftains here, raised the Albanian flag, and proclaimed Albanian independence, establishing a provisional government. The former Orosh Abbey also stood in the area. The village sits within the Mirditë district of Lezhë county in northern Albania.
