Rabka-Zdroj
Poland
Spa town in the Gorce Mountains of southern Poland, Rabka-Zdrój has operated as a health resort since 1864, with hydrotherapy still offered at local hospitals and sanatoriums. The Władysław Orkan Museum, housed in a 17th-century larch-wood church, holds folk sculpture, glass paintings, and the Order of the Smile Museum — an award children give to adults. The town also serves as a base for Czorsztyn Lake, with its two castles, boat rides, and water sports.
