Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
Lot · France
Clinging to a steep cliff above the Lot river in south-western France, this small Quercy village draws visitors with dramatic viewpoints, a strong café and restaurant scene for its size, and surrounding vineyards. A member of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France association, it was discovered by Post-Impressionist painter Henri Martin and later became home to the writer André Breton. The village sits within the Causses du Quercy regional natural park, a UNESCO Global Geopark since 2017.
