Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val

Medieval village on the Aveyron river in southern France's Tarn-et-Garonne, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val has preserved much of its historic core — with many listed buildings — largely because economic decline after the 17th century left it untouched by later development. Its extensive Sunday market draws visitors from across the region, and the village has an unusually lively café and restaurant scene for its size. The surrounding gorges and causse landscape offer scenic viewpoints, and the village is a member of the Cittaslow slow-living movement.
