Siófok

Hungary's most popular lakeside resort town after Budapest, Siófok lines the southern shore of Lake Balaton with a long stretch of beach, over a thousand hotels, and a dense concentration of bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Hungarians often call it "the capital of Lake Balaton," as it is the largest town on the lake's shores. The Sió Channel, which connects Lake Balaton to the Danube, meets the lake here.
