This waterfront town in Norway's Trøndelag region, Stjørdalshalsen sits where the rivers Stjørdalselva and Gråelva meet the Trondheimsfjorden, with mountain terrain rising inland and a walkable centre with cafés and restaurants. The town has been a trading settlement since the 17th century and received formal town status in 1997. Trondheim Airport, Værnes, lies just to the south, and rail connections run through Stjørdal Station on the Nordland Line.
