At the head of the Orkdal Fjord, an arm of the Trondheimsfjord, Orkanger is a small Norwegian town in Trøndelag with mountain terrain rising around it and water on its doorstep. The commercial and administrative centre of Orkland Municipality, it sits within one of the larger urban areas in the region and is home to Orkanger Church.
