This walkable town in the Hostýn-Vsetín Mountains of the Zlín Region, Vsetín sits on the Vsetínská Bečva River with a centre full of cafés and restaurants and mountain viewpoints within easy reach. Its main landmark is the Renaissance Vsetín Castle, and the town's most prominent historical figures were the Counts of Illésházy, who held it for close to 180 years. UNESCO World Heritage sites can be found in the wider region.
