Kłodzko
Poland
Sometimes called "Little Prague" for its concentration of historical monuments, Kłodzko is one of Poland's oldest towns, granted city rights in 1233 and rooted in a 10th-century settlement on the Eastern Neisse river in Lower Silesia. The walkable centre, set in the Kłodzko Valley with mountain country close by, has a real café and restaurant scene and strong photographic appeal. Culturally tied to Bohemia for much of its history, the town has been part of Silesia since 1763.
