Kopavogur
Iceland
Iceland's second-largest municipality sits immediately south of Reykjavík, with a walkable commercial centre, cafés, and waterfront access along the inlet whose name translates as "seal pup bay." The tallest building in Iceland, Smáratorg Tower, rises from the town centre, and the country's largest shopping mall, Smáralind, is here too. The eastern reaches of the municipality extend into Bláfjöll country park, which includes the Þríhnúkagígur volcano and a ski area in the Blue Mountains.
