Keflavik
Iceland
Home to Iceland's only international airport, Keflavík is a compact town on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland with a café and restaurant scene concentrated in its centre. The town's name means Driftwood Bay, and trade here dates to the 17th century. It merged with neighbouring Njarðvík and Hafnir in 1995 to form the municipality of Reykjanesbær. The Icelandic-language sources also note a lively music scene in the latter half of the 20th century.
