Norcia
Perugia · Italy
Norcia, a small Umbrian town on the edge of the Monti Sibillini mountains, is widely known across Italy for its cured meats and sausages — so much so that the Italian word for pork butchery, norcineria, takes its name from here. The surrounding landscape draws hikers and mountaineers, and the town sits within the Monti Sibillini national park. It is also a member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia, the association of Italy's most beautiful villages.
