Prudnik

Founded in 1255 on Magdeburg law, Prudnik is a historic Upper Silesian town in southern Poland where the Prudnik river meets its Złoty Potok tributary, on the edge of the Opawskie Mountains. Its medieval centre includes the Main Town Hall and the 13th-century Wok's Tower, and the town has a long industrial tradition in textiles — most recently towel manufacturing by Frotex, one of Europe's largest towel producers. Prudnik is also a member of the Cittaslow slow-city network and serves as a headquarters of the cross-border Euroregion Pradziad.
